John Truslove helps ease Bromsgrove office move

A CONSULTING, structural and civil engineer firm has moved to alternative premises in Worcestershire.

With the help of Worcester Property agents, John Truslove, J Turner and Associates have taken on the 1,850 sq ft property of St Johns House, in St John Street, Bromsgrove, on a five-year lease.

Waitrose has arrived in Bromsgrove with some fanfare, taking part of the former Market Hall site on the junction of Hanover Street, Kidderminster Road and St Johns Street, but this has caused car parking issues for J Turner.

Antony Bartlam, managing director, said: “Our move occurred because of the issues with parking and the Waitrose development over the road which will take all the long stay parking spaces from this end of town.

“We looked at various options but wanted to stay local so the new premises were ideal. We only moved from next door but that had no parking and was on a first floor, so access was difficult.

“The new premises also give us room for expansion if needed.”

Its new home provides six car parking spaces.

The business, which specialises in structural design works, covers all aspects of structural and civil work ranging from domestic house surveys to larger commercial projects.

It has worked with large multi-national companies on everything from small factory refurbishments to multi-million-pound new build projects.

It also operates on behalf of shopping centres and retail stores including refurbishment and alterations to existing centres and car park upgrades. It has done work on shopping centres throughout the country, and for Costa Coffee and Greggs.

Ben Truslove, a director of John Truslove, said: “J Turner and Associates is a highly respected local firm and it was a pleasure to play a part in finding them new premises so they could remain in Bromsgrove.

“St Johns House is both a landmark and listed property in the town centre which I am sure will serve them well.”
