John Truslove helps Dominique make her dreams come true

A new Bromsgrove hair salon owner is looking to give customers a relaxed and welcoming environment for their hair appointment.

With the help of property agents John Truslove, Dominique Healy has launched her own business at Suite 4, Holt Studios, Birmingham Road.

It is called Bobbypins Hair & Beauty after Mrs Healy’s nickname for her two-year-old niece Robyn.

It marks a return to hairdressing where she started out and follows a seven-year spell in-between as a Walt Disney store manager, largely at the Merry Hill Shopping Centre in Brierley Hill.

She said: “It was my dream job, but I was approaching 30, had got married, bought a house and was looking to settle down. So, I decided to go back into hairdressing.

“Bromsgrove is where I live, I began working at another outlet in the town, but I had always wanted to have my own salon. It’s going well.

“We will style hair for anyone, and specialise in wedding hair.”

She promotes it as a “quaint salon offering all services and specialising in wedding and occasional hair”.

Ian Parker, a director of John Truslove, said: “Good hairdressers inspire a kind of special loyalty with clients often going year after year to a particular salon they favour.

“I am sure Dominique’s will follow this pattern – she has got off to a great start.”

Holt Studios, now fully let, is a prominent and convenient location close to the High Street, with cottage-style business units including Upcyclists furniture centre and Health & Beauty Within, grouped around a central courtyard.
