Booming NGW Group sees Fusion Hygiene arm treble size of Redditch base with help of John Truslove

Less than two years after choosing Redditch as its national hub, a fast growing eco-friendly packaging firm is moving to bigger premises with the aid of commercial property agents John Truslove.

Simply Eco Packaging is one of three parts of the NGW Group, formed in February 2019, and supplies biodegradable food packaging from trays, cutlery and cups to pizza boxes, sandwich bags and napkins.

But the launch of its Fusion Hygiene business just 18 months ago has moved already impressive growth into a higher gear.

Director Richard Walker said: “We have been in the process of moving our base from London to Redditch but are keeping a team of account managers in the capital because we have a large amount of customers and potential growth in there. 

“We supply a lot of independent restaurants and groups with chemical dispensers that are a sustainable, ecologically friendly alternative to pre mixed chemicals offering considerable savings. One of our restaurants in London is now saving between £200-£300 per week just on cleaning chemicals and have reduced the amount of plastic waste considerably. We are now working with a number of European chains to roll out our eco-friendly offer further afield.

“Our rapid growth means this is our third move in just two years. Working with the team at John Truslove has made things a breeze. They helped us find our last premises, on Thornhill Road, which were 1,100 sq ft. But we soon needed even more space.”

The NGW has taken 3,864 sq ft on a five year lease at £22,950 per annum, at 83 Heming Road on the Washford Industrial Estate.

Mr Walker said: “Ian Parker and the team at John Truslove did a sterling job for us and we’ll certainly be talking to them when we need to expand again, in three to five years’ time.”

“We now have 10 members of staff and are looking to recruit two more with the move to bigger premises.”
