Energy consultancy set for the future in new headquarters, thanks to John Truslove
A leading energy consultancy, based in Redditch for nearly two decades, is heading into the future with a new headquarters, thanks to commercial property consultancy John Truslove.
Backed by new owners, EIC and its sister company T-Mac are preparing for fresh growth at a time when their services have never been more in need.
EIC provides energy consultancy services to a broad range of businesses and schools, helping them secure the best energy contracts with suppliers and ensuring its clients are carbon compliant – putting them firmly on track for zero emissions.
With its sister company T-Mac, it also provides specialist metering and intelligent control systems, run from a single online platform, giving clients greater control of their energy use across multiple sites.
As a result EIC has built up a growing list of more than 800 clients nationwide, including major names such as HSBC and Ladbrokes.
Group director of operations Jas Dosanjh said: “The business has been based here in Redditch for nearly 20 years and its roots go back to the 1970s. We were bought by a new owner, Majestic Securities, last year and that has given the business a fresh lease of life.
“But we then discovered we needed to move out of our former head offices with just a month’s notice. John Truslove helped us find premises that were both a better size for us and that we could move into in just four weeks.
“A lot of our people work from home, and we have another office in Bury St Edmunds, but we still have around 50 people working out of our Redditch headquarters. The move has enabled us to ‘right-size’ our offices to better suit our needs.”
EIC has taken 3,445 sq ft of space at 3 Brooklands, on Moons Moat Drive, North Moons Moat in Redditch, on a long term lease. As a result, the building, owned by Coltham Developments, is now fully let.
Ben Truslove, joint managing director at John Truslove, said: “EIC needed to move quickly but fortunately our unparalleled knowledge of the local commercial property sector meant we were able to rapidly identify offices that fit their needs. Coltham Developments are an excellent landlord and worked with us to enable Redditch to retain the headquarters of this long-established business.
“EIC is now secure in new premises and, with the backing of new owners, looks set for fresh growth.
“Good quality offices, such as those at Brooklands, are always at a premium, but here at John Truslove we take pride in being able to help every company, of any size, find the premises they need, when they need them.”
