Growth in car leasing sees Jet Vehicle Finance changing gear to bigger premises, helped by John Truslove
The growing popularity of leasing as an alternative to car ownership has driven major growth at Redditch-based Jet Vehicle Finance.
As a result, the company engaged commercial property agents John Truslove to secure bigger offices.
Jet’s marketing director Wendy Johnson said: “We are future-proofing the business. When we moved to Redditch 12 years ago there were just six of us; now there are 22.
“Car leasing was once seen as the preserve of companies but it is an increasingly popular choice among the driving public because of its many advantages. The ability to change cars every few years is especially useful for people who use their vehicles for work. Many people are choosing it as an alternative to a company car.”
“We have been based in a number of offices at the Greenlands Business Centre but needed to move out to make way for some improvement work. We had been thinking about moving to bigger premises for some time and decided to get in touch with Ian Parker at John Truslove to find somewhere.
“They had premises available at The Granary, at Brockhill Court, which were ideal. It is a very nice rural location on the edge of Redditch with open plan offices and even a garden where staff can relax during their breaks.”
Ian Parker, joint managing director at John Truslove, secured a five year lease on 2,387 sq ft of offices at The Granary, Brockhill Court, for Jet Vehicle Finance.
Mr Parker said: “Brockhill Court is set in a convenient rural location, close to both the M42 and the M5, with ample car parking.
“With this tenancy. it is now fully let again. Its combination of attractive surroundings and modern office accommodation mean this is always a popular location for businesses.
“Changing attitudes to car ownership have seen Jet Vehicle Finance prosper over the last dozen years in Redditch and we are confident these new offices will provide the company with a firm foundation for the next stage in its growth.”
Ifzal Akhtar, from law firm FBC Manby Bowdler, acted for Jet Vehicle Finance.
Redditch-based chartered surveyors and valuers John Truslove was recently named Most Active Agent in Worcestershire in the Radius Data Exchange survey produced in conjunction with EG, the commercial property market magazine.
Joint managing director Ian Parker was also named Worcestershire Dealmaker of the Year AND Warwickshire Dealmaker of the Year for 2020. The survey year, which runs from August to August, saw John Truslove record a 36% increase in deals negotiated over the 12 months.
