Maxi Grosik supermarket opens in Redditch, aided by John Truslove
A new European supermarket is to open in Redditch town centre in a deal sealed by property agency John Truslove.
Working with landlord Real Estate Investors plc (REI), the team at John Truslove helped new tenant Maxi Grosik secure a 15 year tenancy agreement at Unit 4a, The Quadrant, in Alcester Street.
Maxi Grosik supermarket has opened in the 5,705 sq ft premises, selling a broad range of Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Lithuanian and Slovak groceries, as well as English goods.
Jacks Sears, asset manager at REI, said: “The unit was vacant for four years. Maxi Grosik supermarket came along via John Truslove and we managed to get it over the line quickly.
“This is now a fully let parade for the first time since REI took ownership in December 2019.”
Ben Truslove, joint managing director of John Truslove, added: “We are delighted to have helped see this empty unit in the heart of Redditch being brought back into use.
“We make sure the right landlords get the right tenants, and this was a prime example of such a successful deal.”
Donna Barnes of law firm Shakespeare Martineau acted for REI.
The Quadrant is located in the pedestrianised main leisure area of Redditch town centre, close to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre which attracts more than 200,000 visitors per week.
Previously used as a bar/restaurant it is laid out with two cold stores, a storeroom cellar, offices, WCs and a main bar area.
