Scaffolding firm takes on 20 staff and moves into new Redditch base, thanks to John Truslove
A fast-growing Redditch scaffolding company which has created 20 jobs this year has expanded into new premises in the town, assisted by John Truslove.
The leading chartered surveyors agreed the deal for Airwright Midland Ltd to move into the 9,909 sq ft offices and yard at Crossgate Road this summer.
The family-owned company was previously based at a site in Shawbank Road but needed more space after a surge in housebuilding across the Midlands saw its staff rise to 55.
Ben Truslove, a director at Redditch-based John Truslove, said: “It’s really encouraging to see Airwright Midland doing so well and taking on so many staff.
“We were delighted to work closely with them to find the Crossgate Road site that had space for expansion and was more suitable for a growing company with a proper reception, separate offices and secure yard.”
Ben Wright, managing director at Airwright Midlands, which was launched in 2011 and now has a multi-million turnover, said: “We’ve experienced fast growth in the past year and quickly outgrew our previous base.
“We’ve been searching for the right premises for years and the new property at Crossgate Road has a much better layout with the yard securely based at the back, a separate and much bigger office space and a welcoming reception area at the front.
“We’re really pleased with how John Truslove found us somewhere that suited all our needs, and after refurbishment our staff now feel like they’re working in five-star luxury!”
John Truslove arranged the Crossgate Road deal for Airwright Midland for £39,000 per annum on a six-year lease on behalf of the landlord, the London-based Grandfield Group.
